John Reischman is one of the world’s undisputed masters of the mandolin, and along with his 4 other “Jaybirds” form BC and Spokane, they are a world-class bluegrass band, with several acclaimed albums and two Juno nominations. The Jaybirds are simultaneously innovative and sophisticated, and happily old-fashioned and contemporary. John began his career in San Francisco and has three critically acclaimed solo instrumental albums to his credit. Their lead vocalist, Trisha Gagnon, hails from Chilliwack, and is a most versatile and irresistible singer, with a strong and distinctive style. Patrick Sauber, lead guitarist, is originally from Los Angeles. Nick Hornbuckle is on 5-string banjo, from Nanaimo, and Greg Spatz, their world-class fiddler live in Spokane. Together they make effortless-sounding music that strikes a balance of technical virtuosity and emotional honesty, playing a mix of bluegrass, blues and gospel.

Children 12 years of age and under are free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
