working together to end world hunger

This year we’ve partnered with World Renew Canada to work towards alleviating global food insecurity through sustainable and empowering gifts that directly impact the lives of people and communities around the world.

advent devotional

There's a reason we don't just jump into Christmas: something this important requires time to get ready and prepare. To help us do that, we've got an amazing devotional for you. This beautiful and interactive devotional will help draw you into the wonder and meaning of Christmas in a whole new way.

rdluc nativity scene

Our world-famous nativity scene is back! Come by the church anytime between now and Christmas and let Larry Stillwell's interpretation of the first Christmas spark the question of "what does it mean for me to be a part of the Christmas story?"

Can’t make it to an in-person service? We got you covered! Join us online for a short service where we take some time to celebrate everything Christmas means and embrace the wonder of it all. For anyone wanting to be with good people afterwards, we’re gathering on Zoom at 9pm.

rdluc reads book club

Throughout the year we invite everyone to read books that introduce us to voices and ideas we need to hear. This Advent, we’re reading Honest Advent: Awakening to the Wonder of God-with-Us Then, Here, and Now by Scott Erickson. Full of beautiful works of art, meditations, prayers, and questions, this book will open up even the Scroogiest of us up to the meaning and wonders of Christmas.

Christmas is hard. Because of loneliness, family dynamics, financial stress, exhaustion, and many other things, it isn’t always a season of joy and light. Every year we take time to honour, validate, and name the grief and pain we’re feeling and look to experience the hope Christmas offers. We invite everyone who finds Christmas hard, for any reason, to join us for this time of honouring our grief and hope.

songs for the season

Everyone's got their favourite Christmas music, but what about Advent music? To help us make the most of this season, here's a very eclectic playlist full of music to help us prepare, reflect, and get ready to celebrate and receive the good news of Christmas.
