At Red Deer Lake United Church, we joyfully celebrate love in all its forms.
As an Affirming Church, we are proud to offer weddings and commitment ceremonies to all couples — regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or background.
We believe that God blesses every marriage grounded in faithfulness, respect, justice, and love.
Arranging a Date
To begin planning your ceremony, please contact the Church Office to make an initial inquiry.
Our staff will help you set up a meeting with the Minister and guide you through the steps of arranging your service.
The Ceremony and Reception
Whether you envision an intimate indoor gathering or an outdoor celebration surrounded by nature, our church offers beautiful spaces to make your day memorable.
We’ll work with you to plan every detail and ensure the service reflects your vision and values.
Marriage License
A valid marriage license is required for all weddings in Alberta.
It can be purchased at any Alberta Registry Office.
Please provide the license to the Church Office no later than two weeks before the ceremony.
Two witnesses (age 18 or older) are required to sign the legal documents during the ceremony.
