The next Sound & Soul will be held on March 6 from 7-9 pm. This month's theme is: The Journey Through Lent: songs that inspire your life’s journey to healing and wholeness.

Discussion will occur based on the theme, and the music played, as people reflect on the impact the music has made to them and their lives, as it pertains to spirituality.

Join us on Shrove Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30 pm for a Creole inspired dinner with a family activity of mask making while learning about the history of Mardi Gras with Rev. Danah Cox. The dinner will be followed by a service of ashes for those wishing to take part as we prepare for Lent. Please register by Friday February 28 at 3 pm.

We are starting a new choir at RDLUC!

This pilot project will run from January to March, and will shift over to our joint Holy Week Choral Project.

We will rehearse at 12:15-ish on February 9, and March 9. These rehearsals will allow us to learn a piece and then come together again in service on January 26, February 23, and March 30, 2024. Please bring a light lunch or snack to have before practice.

This is a pilot project so see how viable a choral program could become so invite everyone you can to join in the fun!

Then, starting in March, we will begin our Holy Week Choral Project for 2025. This will include both sites joining forces again to create lovely music for the Holy Week services. Dates are TBC.
